I want to begin the way I hope every encounter on this site begins—with honesty.
This ministry exists because Jesus Christ changed my life, and I believe He wants to change yours. Not through argument. Not through pressure. Through encounter. Through the kind of meeting that happens when a person sets aside what they think they know and asks, with a willing heart, Who are you, really?
That is the question at the center of everything here.
What This Place Is
Words of Plainness is an interfaith Christian witness. My brother James and I are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and we write from that tradition with full conviction. But we did not build this for an audience that already agrees with us. We built it for anyone who takes Jesus Christ seriously enough to sit with the scriptures, wrestle honestly with what they find there, and let the encounter do its work.
Seekers and saints find common ground here. That is not a slogan—it is the structural principle of everything we have written.
What You Will Find
The site is organized into two volumes. Volume 1: Christ-Centered Discipleship begins with the foundations of faith—how we come to know anything at all, how prayer works, what it means to receive Christ—and then moves into a thorough study of Christ's personal character and mortal ministry. From there, the journey opens into interactive discipleship practices: specific, concrete ways to follow Him, with commitments you choose at your own pace and depth.
Volume 2: Covenants & Theology presents the full systematic theology of the Restoration—from the nature of God and the spiritual creation to the Plan of Salvation and our eternal inheritance. Volume 2 arrives after Volume 1's shared ground, so that the distinctive claims of the Restoration gain weight from the fruit the reader has already witnessed.
Every chapter includes audio narration you can listen to as you read. While listening, paragraphs are highlighted in sync to the audio (not perfect but helpful). Many chapters include musical testimonies—original songs in a Sacred Americana tradition that carry the chapter's themes into worship. The lyrics and musical production of all songs were done by Brother Aaron. Study slides, downloadable PDFs, and interactive reflection tools are woven throughout. This is not a static reading experience. It is a place to encounter Christ and respond from your own faith and traditions.
What Is Coming
The site is alive and growing. New chapters are being authored and published regularly. The "Learn of Me" movement—a five-chapter study of Christ's life from prophecy through Resurrection—is complete. Discipleship Practices chapters are rolling out across six topical groups, from Christ's manifesto in the Sermon on the Mount through endurance and eternal perspective. The Restoration chapters and Volume 2 are on the horizon.

How to Be Here
Read at your own pace. Use the reflection and journal tools built into every chapter—they are private to you unless you choose to share. If you are the kind of person who grows through conversation, join the Discord community where readers discuss what they are learning.
There is no proselytizing here. No sales funnel. No pressure. Just a willing heart and honest engagement with the person of Jesus Christ. That is enough. It has always been enough.
I am glad you are here.
In the name of Jesus Christ,
Brother Aaron
